Patricia (Patty) Nelson Bennett Zayas

"Patty", 79, of St. Petersburg, FL, passed away peacefully December 27, 2025, surrounded by family. Patty was born on May 25, 1946 to Edward and Eleanor (Aburn) Nelson in Summit, NJ. She moved with her family to St. Petersburg in 1947. Patty graduated from Northeast High School in 1964, then began a life-long career in the optical business. Patty was preceded in death by her parents, and by her brother, Bob Nelson. She is survived by her daughters, Mindy Snyder (Scott) and Paige Bentley, both of St. Petersburg; and by her sisters, Carol Leigh of Woodbine, GA and Peggy Adams of Apopka, FL; as well as several nieces and nephews. A celebration of life will be held at a future date. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Alzheimer's Association or Suncoast Hospice.
