Frederick Johnson "Fred" LINTZ III
69, passed away peacefully Aug. 1, 2016 at Consulate Health Care of St. Petersburg in Seminole. He was born Dec. 25, 1946 at Northside Hospital in St. Petersburg, to Frederick Johnson Lintz Jr., and Anne Lorainne (Hamby) Lintz. He was a proud recipient of the Eagle Scout award. He was a graduate of Northeast High School, St. Petersburg, in 1964. He married Judith Anne Lintz on Sept. 30, 1967 and together they raised 5 sons and a daughter. He visited much of the United States on various vacations with his family, but lived his entire life within five miles of his childhood home.
Fred never met a stranger and always had a smile and a joke for anyone he met. He held many jobs: ambulance driver, milk man, mechanic, truck driver, taxi driver, and Flowers bakery manager; but if you asked him his favorite was being a husband and father. He is survived by his sons, Frederick IV (Cathy), David (Trisha), James (Dora), and Donald; 13 grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; his beloved wife; a son, Jeffery; and a daughter, Mary Anne.
