HICKMAN, Donn J. 

83, of St Petersburg, passed away Feb. 23, 2015. A native of St Petersburg, he graduated from St Petersburg High in 1949 and from the University of Florida in 1957 with a BS degree and was a member of Kappa Sigma Fraternity. He then went on his get his Master's Degree in Physical Education from the University of Mississippi in 1973. He was a US Navy veteran. He was a teacher and a basketball coach at Meadowlawn Jr. High for 11 years and then at Lakewood High School for 19 years, coaching basketball and golf. He retired from teaching in 1987. Donn is survived by wife, Ann; sons, Ty and Tim; 7 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; and one brother, Louis. There will be a Memorial Service at Anderson McQueen Feb. 26 at 6 pm.
