Born in NAS Patuxent River Maryland, my family moved to Florida when I was a young teen where I completed middle school at Meadowlawn and then high school with all of you at NEHI. Following high school I entered St. Petersburg for a year before signing up with the United States Marine Corp. I served 4 years of active duty of which three years were Western Pacific i.e. a year on Okinawa and two years in Phu Bai Vietnam with the 1st Marine Air Wing Helicopter squadrons. In 1969 I returned to St. Petersburg Jr. College and re-entered St. Petersburg Jr. College going on to earn my BA in Business from the University of Phoenix.
Subsequently I became a General Contractor of Commercial Construction, married Kristen (1976) and moved to Orlando in 1984 where we live today. You all know many of my construction projects as I built Hard Rock Cafes and Planet Hollywood Cafes nationwide and worldwide, Jaws and Kong, and ET at Universal Studios; Muppets Theater and Honey I Shrunk The Kids at Disney; and employed over 200 men in my firm as special teams contractor for Universal Studio's Islands of Adventure. Other commercial projects included the $225 million dollar Orange County Courthouse in Orlando, Florida and multiple projects at University of Central Florida. In addition to being a General Contractor, I became a expert witness in construction litigation lawsuits and served an Arbitrator/Mediator with the American Arbitration Association.
In 1999 I closed my construction firm and I joined my wife, Kristen, as Firm Administrator of her law firm where I remain today. Kristen has been practicing law for over 30 years. She started her own practice over 20 years ago in 2008 grew to over 16 in house attorneys. Today we have scaled the firm back to 8 attorneys and myself. The primary focus of our firm is Estate Planning, Business and Real Estate, Immigration, Family and more.
I plan to retire when I fall down dead.
